Experiment Data Systems (EDS)
The EDS Division is responsible for designing, deploying, commissioning and maintaining the LCLS Data Systems. The LCLS Data Systems provides data acquisition, online data reduction (LCLS-II only), online monitoring, an analysis framework, data management, and automated run processing for all instruments.

Advanced data and computing systems are the backbone of LCLS science, enabling rapid interpretation of experiments at unprecedented scales. The transition to MHz-era operation demands a seamless integration of edge processing, high-performance computing (HPC), and intelligent data workflows, provided by the LCLS Data System, to bridge the gap between raw data and scientific insight.
