Quick Start Guide for New LCLS Users
The LCLS encourages scientists from diverse fields to submit proposals for experiments that utilize the LCLS's unique capabilities. Interested scientists are encouraged to learn more about the latest developments by reviewing the instrument descriptions. Contact LCLS instrument scientists to discuss your proposed experiments and for updated performance parameters.

Only for Users Approved for SLAC Onsite Access: Proceed to the VUE Center (1st floor Science and User Support Building 053) to check in, get badged, and update your proximity access. Check-in is from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday - Friday. See below links for help with settling in the area and getting started with your experiment at LCLS.

Please clean up your work area before you leave. Log in to the User Portal to complete an end of run survey after each scheduled experiment. Your feedback will be used to address issues and continually improve user resources and support. LCLS also needs your help to compile metrics that demonstrate scientific accomplishments and productivity. Please submit LCLS related publications and inform us of awards, patents, etc.
