LCLS Publications
Submit New Publication
LCLS provides access to state-of-the-art instruments at no charge for scientists who conduct non-proprietary research, with the understanding that significant results are to be publicly disseminated. Inform the LCLS User Research Administration (URA) office when papers are accepted or about to be published.
Communicating research results with us in advance allows us to work with users, their home institutions and funding agencies to promote the latest LCLS science and to amplify media efforts through press releases and features. Please review the LCLS communications policies.

Acknowledging LCLS and DOE
NOTE: User publications are extremely important in demonstrating the scientific impact of LCLS. Proposal teams must inform and acknowledge LCLS and the DOE Office of Science in presentations and publications using this template:
Use of the Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS), SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, is supported by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Science, Office of Basic Energy Sciences under Contract No. DE-AC02-76SF00515.
NVBL-SPONSORED RESEARCH COVID EXPERIMENTS NOTE: Publications arising from NVBL-sponsored research COVID experiments, which were enabled by the CARES Act funding, should acknowledge the NVBL, in addition to the usual LCLS contract acknowledgement:
Extraordinary Linac Coherent Light Source (LCLS) operations were supported in part by the DOE Office of Science through the National Virtual Biotechnology Laboratory, a consortium of DOE national laboratories focused on response to COVID-19, with funding provided by the Coronavirus CARES Act.
Progress Report
When submitting a new proposal, also upload a brief progress report summarizing proposal that have previously received LCLS beam time; include proposal number(s), date(s) of experiment, instrument(s) used, a brief summary of how experiment time was used and results disseminated (list major invited talks, papers published or in press, awards or special recognition).
